When is Random-start revision tests ready to become part of the learner’s normal Hifz routine?

Keep new memorisation small enough that established material can still be revised reliably. Use retrieval before prompts and test from more than one starting point so recall is not tied only to the beginning. The method is ready for regular use when it improves recall without making the routine too complicated.
